Turning on the gas

Just wondering if it is normal to have to purge the gas lines (by lighting the stove first) prior to getting then frig or the Alde to work on gas? We had three gas leaks when we first bought the unit and I fixed them, just wondering if anyone else has had this experience? I'm thinking we have another leak it's only been a few weeks since we used the gas and I had to purge it.

It's pretty typical when the propane has been shut off at the tanks for a few weeks to need to purge the lines a bit when you first turn the gas back on.

I agree, a few weeks of shut off tanks will require a line purge.

Once everything is working, shut of both tank valves and then check regularly for an "empty propane" indication (on mine it's a red line". Unless it happens really quickly, you are okay.

Not answers I was expecting. I will check all the lines again just to make sure and if nothing is found then OK. Thanks to all for input!!
