Trailer Tongue

Got a pic of my 2021 Classic 33 from the dealer the other day. It finally arrived!! Upon further review - I noticed the front part (tongue & LP) are not connected. I had always thought the frame was one piece. Isn’t that a big potential failure point? How is it connected, just bolts? Weld at dealer?

Welcome Aboard 👍

WOW...never seen that before.

A definite question for the dealer or JC.

Maybe it's their solution for some of the OTR concerns owners have experienced.😲

Perhaps you jest.
Obviously, the tongue jack is holding the front off the ground.
Nice Photoshop, but back to work.

Maybe you forgot to order the tongue. A good catch for all those waiting for delivery. Please call your dealers and make sure the tongue was included and ordered.

LMAO. Guess so. I just wrote my salesperson asking if she was messing with me when she sent pics.

Look at it this way, you'll avoid the dreaded "tongue tax" and you'll now fit into most National Parks.

Maybe they accidentally sent you a European model. My understanding is that the engineers have not approved them for that market.

Maybe you got the ZipDee Relax tongue and they haven't been able to get it to extend all the way.

The angle of the photos is creating the illusion that those things are missing, but if you look closely they can be seen. You can see the jack stand in the first photo below the orange reflector. You can see the front of the coupler as well - it appears as a dark blob just in front of the rock guard. The jack stand is less noticeable in the second photo but it can still be seen below and to the right of the orange reflector. I suspect they used a wide angle lens to capture all 33' of trailer and have thus created the illusion that the items in question are missing.

Hi
I have a 25RB twin on order. I called my dealer to check on this. Luckily the build date is not until 12/28 so there is still time to add the tongue option. They suggested adding the snipe repellent option to the undercarriage. Is this a worthwhile option or something that I can do on my own after?

If your handy it is really quite an easy self install. It simply involves a few brown paper bags and a good flashlight. Placement is key. So do your research.
Honestly I don’t find much need for it. The best defense is to avoid camping near Boy Scout campgrounds.
