We have just parked our 2019 30' Classic at a rv resort for the next year. The site is great and leveling the trailer was a breeze. We have our stabilizers down and x braces between the tires. We still have some bounce and shake when we walk or move around inside the trailer. can we put some other type of stabilizers under the trailer that will help with this?

It won’t ever be perfect IMO. Ours is the same, you can still feel when someone is walking around though. We do have RV Snap Pads on our stabilizers — jury is still out if they truest help but my wife swears they do.

we use the JT Strong arm stabilizers

a few years ago our campsite neighbor's 5th wheel had them.

in our AS, we use 6 of them, 2 upfront 4 in the rear.
the unit is solid as a rock now.

Or, several screw jacks from a used tool store placed periodically at the frame rails.
Do not over tension them to distort the frame.

When I set the stabilizers I go back the next day and snug them up again. It makes a difference.

I find it helps to use higher leveling blocks before putting them down. I, too, re-tighten every few days and that seems to help.

A great suggestion Chas and Cindy -- in effect this makes the steel arm of the leveler into a diagonally angled brace, rather than an almost-vertical column [which is a very unstable support for unwanted lateral sway movement].

jeff, I had the same immediate reaction -- "If this van is rockin' . . . " -- bumper stickers all over the place, back in the 60's and 70's!

Some of the bounce and movement is a result of the torsion axles and shock absorber suspension. As you are going to be on the site for a year you could put jacks at the lift points and take the weight off of the wheels/tires. This will help with the bounce and also prevent flat spots from developing on the tires.

Even with the stabilizers down you will find that unless you are on a paved surface, the ground will give way over time, especially if you have rain. The key to setting the stabilizers is to stop extending them once you detect a rise in the trailer. Too much rise and you will see problems with the entry door opening and closing. No rise whatsoever means the jacks are providing little support.

Sounds like you have used all the devices that I would recommend. But overall understand that you can't expect that trailer to give you the same support as something built on a foundation or with multiple supports scattered throughout the frame. It's noticeable if you are sitting and someone is walking around in the trailer. I have a friend who is heavy walker and quite honestly some people are heavy walkers and some aren't.

This is good advise but, for more then a few days you should use jack stands and have wood under them, unless on concrete.

The only RV I have ever been in that did not bounce, and this numbers well over 100 rigs, was a high end Class A with leveling jacks. These jacks were designed to lift the MH so the tires were completely off the ground; the jacks were taking all the weight. My friend that owned this MH said he could still feel bounce when there were a lot of people inside, but I couldn't detect it.

Our Classic 30 also bounces a bit when we walk around.

We have that with a shorter 23D, but only with the Mrs. I tend to walk more softly than her, and my stride is almost perfectly straight forward. Her stride is maybe 5-10 degrees to the outside, which causes a little bounce for us.

Have to agree with OTRA15. This is the second blog I have seen today on bounce. We chock the wheels and drop the 4-corner stabilizers and call it good. I also always felt the little movement that exists was just part of it. Sort of reminds me of the old homestead from years ago with the conventional floors.

Thanks to Luke Grisott! In our 33’, with using the “X’s” - our only movement was when some was going up or down the steps - this product fixes that! Thanks Luke.
