Sub woofer not working

Have a 18 Classic 30... with music playing nothing is coming out of the sub woofer - no sound of vibration - using the Polk ultramarine app it shows a control for it but it is not active -
Not connected? Defective?
Anybody else have this issue?

While doing an unrelated project in my 17 Classic I noticed the sub-woofer audio line in the trailer harness was abandoned and a separate audio line was run from the Polk, under the dinette, through the Alde register to the subwoofer under the couch. It looks like the harness wire had been damaged after installation and before it left the factory someone caught it and did a quick work around. Check your wires - both audio and DC to the subwoofer. Make sure the audio signals are getting there and the local fuse has not blown. Its easy to get to the subwoofer. Pull off the lower kick-panel at couch center, remove two large nuts on front edge underside of couch center section, and pull the entire center section (front and back) straight up.

And make sure it's turned on at the subwoofer. Mine has a switch there and I turn it off when boondocking to avoid the battery drain.

RCA booster makes it work. RCA cables are to long.

When I removed and replaced our couch with recliners I noticed that the RCA cables were hardly connected and easily unplugged from their respective male/female plugs. So, when I put the whole mess back together I wrapped some tape around them. Might check the white and red RCA cables under the couch.

I agree with all who posted. Wiring is unfortunately like a can of worms so roll up your sleeves and get in there.

Is there a reset button on the back of the subwoofer maybe?

Good advice here all around . . .

I don't think there is a reset button, but there might be a fuse, or even a volume pot on the subwoofer. Many of use have simply unplugged the sub in the past, and left it that way, for a variety of reasons.

Are you connected to shore power? Sub does not work on battery power.
