Storage Solutions for Full Timers
Unique ideas for storage as well as some classic ideas. Looking to keep this evolving as great new products or creative solutions arise.

Great idea for a thread, especially focusing on products and ideas. Seems there are some good ones but scattered around on Pinterest and others.. that I don’t have time for lol. Will be following this one and pitch in if I can contribute.

Thanks. We will take anything! Even a photo of cabinets or under bed storage. Anything helps. I agree that mostly everything is scattered on different sites. I was surprised I couldn’t find anything on this forum that was dedicated to this. I wonder if an admin should post this somewhere else if we can get it to catch on... all it takes is a photo from each of you looking [emoji6]
Things that also come to mind are paper towel holders and fruit baskets. We haven’t found ones that would or look like they work great yet. It’s a new day. Everyone head out to your trailer and snap a quick photo of something you are proud of!
I’ll even take photos of how things are stored on a moving day.

There is a Small Space Living thread here that has been around for years, with hundreds of posts and ideas.
I’ll find the link for you...
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f240...ng-100347.html
There are also lots of individual threads here on paper towel holders, organizing cabinets and cupboards, etc., in the Stella’s Kitchen sub-forum of the Airstream Lifestyle forum here.

The blue Google Box at the top of the page does a great job of locating threads here...organizing cabinets ideas being one that has been done many times, as I recall, in individual rig sub-Forums as well as Stella’s Kitchen.

I’m using app. Search didn’t bring up anything when I typed in a few subjects. Then again, I didn’t get really specific with a solution... I just typed in organization and storage solution I think and minimal information popped up or threads that had no useful information popped up.
I’m on page 3 of the thread you shared looking. Would love to see this thread continue to live if possible as well as it’s in the classic section vs another part of the forum. Thanks again!

Still looking for that perfect Airstream, but when I lived on a sailboat, I made good use of sleeping bag compression bags to roll and store off-season clothes and blankets. Vacuum bags also work, but hard to find one that does not leak after awhile. Speaking of vacuum bags, I use a Foodsaver bag seal system to separate a big bag of dog or cat food into weekly portions. Saves room and keeps the odor away from critters. Also do that with pasta and other dry goods that come in cardboard boxes.

When I moved my batteries to the area under the queen bed I removed the battery boxes and cleared every thing out from under the jackknife sofa. I removed the sofa drawer and placed two cabinet latches on each of the vertical side supports to hold the face board in place plus using the original latch. That adds quite a bit of storage for large bins. If you do this, I highly recommend you mount the four (4)latches with the fixed tongs on the bottom. That will allow resting the face board on the latches before pushing them in . Otherwise, you may break off a tong or two. Purchase the heavy duty latches. The Airstream store has them.

Thank you Maggie, I’m one of the “search impaired” and never come up with the right search terms, different wiring in the noggin or something...
Happy new Year to all. Be Safe, be Well.
