Storage for dinette cushions
Just found these vacuum bags that are the perfect size for the extra dinette (to make up the extra sleeping space) cushions.
Slides right into the bag and vacuum out the air. We won’t be using these cushions much so they are going in the outer compartment under the Queen bed.

So just curious, what are you going to store in the arm rests?

We were told, at the dealer, that Airstream is not recommending storage of the cushions in the armrest of the couch. Seems that several individuals have damaged the cushions trying to store them in the couch.
We initially tried but really seems to be a tight fit. Hmm, maybe after I put them in the vacuum bag.

I have used these type of vacuum storage bags at home. At first, the change in volume is dramatic, but over time, air inevitably, slowly leaks in, and they expand to their full size.
They will require frequent and periodic re-vacuuming to keep them compressed. If your travels take you across different elevations, the change in ambient air pressure will accelerate the air seepage. If you don't have a vacuum handy, you can manually press out a good portion of the air yourself and still realize a fair reduction in volume. And, of course, you'll want to carefully avoid ripping or tearing any part of the bag, which can happen easily if you handle them when the plastic is very cold, or they are exposed to UV (sunlight).

We keep ours in the closet, it's convenient but does take up space. I like your idea though, my only concern would be if it permanently deformed the cushions. When we took the cushions out of the armrest I knew they weren't going back. Haven't figured out what to do with that space yet.

Personally in the last five years we've never slept anyone on the dinette. Ours are in the arm rests......resting.

We left our dinette cushions at a relative's house. In one armrest, we store our laptop computers and a container of hard drives. In the other, we store our 2 ZipDee chairs.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure that the ZipDee chairs would fit.

On our '16 classic we put them between the sofa and the front of the trailer, They'll fit and it adds extra insulation.

Tried that this weekend. A good place for the chairs. We use them as extra indoor seating when we have visitors.
