Storage Facility RV Wash

I store my 2019 AS & TV in a single bay heated storage facility that has its own RV wash. I do get 10 free RV washes a year, but I have refrained from using the wash facility. I have resorted to getting my AS washed and wabernized annually at my dealer. Posted are the two chemicals used at the wash facility. While these chemicals clean the TV spotless, I am concerend about the finish on my AS. Would you allow you AS to have these chemicals sprayed on it? All opinions are appreciated.

Well if the clear coat on your TV hasn't dissolved and washed away, what's the concern?

The presoak, cuts, softens and dissolves bugs and road grime quickly. Not intended to stay on very long. Easier on waxes and sealers than dishwashing detergent and useful if the trailer has bugs and grime.

The detergent is good for paint and has several enhancers that also are designed not to dissolve sealers and waxes so badly.

Neither of these would be good for non clear coated aluminums so they would want to be rinsed off, dried and then the uncoated aluminum should be resealed or waxed. I have removed the clear coat from a few of the bolt on components like the door handle, rear lights, etc. due to Filiform corrosion.

I'd have reservations on using anything marked "corrosive".
Sulfuric acid?

All undiluted, ph balanced detergents are corrosive...
One uses sulfuric acid to ph balance the other sodium hydroxide. The ingredients list is not the same as the reacted final product.

I only use a quality car wash soap or wash wax on all our wheeled vehicles and one floating one.

Just tried this as an application method, works very well on the Burb and DW's MB. Apply to half, wash down with microfiber mitt.👍

Looking forward to Spring to try it on "Cloudsplitter"

I wish my storage facility had a wash bay.

I've used it twice so far, one container with a 1/3oz soap mixture did the Burb and the same ratio did the MB with half a container left.
Plus the foam lasts on the surface long enough to wash.
MacGyver gives it a AAA+👍

Conflicting Answers

I emailed both the HCS detergent manufacturer and Airstream. I have attached replies from both contacts. I will not be using the RV wash at my facility.

trikdacy,

Airstream replied it would be safe for clear coated surfaces just as I affirmed. The manufacturer also replied that it is not completely safe on (uncoated) Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys as I affirmed. Ye of little faith.....
