Shower Antiscald Adjustment

I’m trying to adjust the anti-scald valve in the shower. I pulled the handle off, and there is a ring I can see that limits the travel on the handle, however I can’t seem to be able to adjust the ring. all the documentation that I can find for shower handles on Kohler’s website shows a different set up with a set screw. There is no setscrew on this model. Is anyone familiar with this particular model, see picture included.

You should be able to pull out on the brown ring and turn it clockwise and pressit back in place over the splines.

I can pull it out about 3 mm, but it won’t turn. It doesn’t pullout easily more than this, and i’m hesitant to force it too much. There are two holes on either side that look like they have some clip in them. but i’m not sure if or how to do anything with that.

It should pop off. Held in place with a spring retention clip

Thanks for the link. Not sure why i couldn’t find that.

The issue i was having is there is a piece that has to be removed to remove the ring. Looking at it, it seemed that the bronze piece was solid. But if you remove the screw it comes upset.

It took me a few minutes to figure it out. Notice the handle has a part that moves in the front and a fixed part in the back. Hold the front of the handle and then twist the back part counter clockwise. This unscrews the handle and it will pull off.

Then after the handle is off unscrew the screw in the center and pull the silver and copper piece off.

Then pry the collar off, turn the shower full hot (or as hot as desired), and then push the collar back on up to the stop.

Then put it all back together.
