Shore power issue
Our Classic has been sitting at a RV Resort close to Myrtle Beach since Labor Day. We go down every other weekend. We just arrived here for a long weekend and found a battery alarm going when we entered the trailer. It says battery is critically low and that the shore power is not connected. Shore power is connected and our EMS surge protector says everything is normal. We know we have shore power because I am able to run both AC's at the same time. Why would it say shore power is not connected when we know it is?

Is the breaker to the charger tripped?

Sounds like the converter is off. There is a breaker for it. Check that first. Confirm the battery voltage is low and if so connect the vehicle to begin charging or add an external charger. Then we can come back to look closer at the converter. report back what you find.

Thanks guys, one leg of the first breaker was tripped. Couldn't tell it by sight but when I touched it it tripped. I reset it and now everything seems to be working fine. There is something running behind the breaker box that I assume is the charger. Thanks again.

That would be correct. The charger is mounted to the floor behind the panel.

I'm not sure how long the batteries have been low. I hope I haven't damaged the AGM batteries. Do the solar panels charge the batteries through the same charger?

No the panels charge through a different charger. I believe your year model uses a Victron and it is located in the cubby under the closet down bottom where the CZONE control board is located. It should be mounted on the wall closest to the rear of the trailer.

So the batteries were getting a charge during the day from the solar panels even though the onboard charger had tripped. Hopefully then the batteries aren't hurt.
