Second Night in Campground with Classic 33

Night #2 Observations -

1. I really, really like the galley area compared with our Flying Cloud 25. I have done twice-baked potatoes, brownies, and a coffee cake in the oven - aside from needing to cut down the baking time by a few minutes I can make almost anything in the galley.

2. My wife and I are movie fans so watching Indiana Jones last night felt like we were in a movie theatre. For us this was one of the really appealing parts of the Classic 33.

3. Thanks to several replies on the Alde system. I set the Alde last night to 60 and the Firefly controls to 68. I woke up at 4 a.m. and the trailer was 62 inside - I ramped up the Alde system to 65 and we woke up to a much warmer trailer. We have plenty of hot water for showers and dishes in the morning.

4. We really also like listening to the Polk audio system in the mornings while getting ready - I have it connected to an iPad Pro and it works very well.

5. The large refrigerator is especially nice - there is plenty of room for full-sized items. We will do longer trips later in the summer and it will be interesting to see just how much stuff we can get in the refrigerator and freezer.

All for now!

Please see my reply in your first thread.

Not sure how productive it will be to start a new thread for each night . . . ?

Good luck,

Peter

Can you receive cable TV on the Projector? My understanding is that it only works with “over the air” broadcasts since the projection TV does not have a tuner. Really interested to hear your feedback as we are closing on the 2018 Classic 33 on May 17. If above is true, then that is a deal killer for us.

Your Alde panel is by your Firefly? I am wondering about the two different temperatures, one on the Firefly and one on the Alde panel. My Alde system seem to stop working at 68 degrees no matter my Firefly setting. Can you think of a reason? I can’t see my Alde panel easily so I was looking for an answer so that I know what I am looking for before going under the sink to investigate.

I did not see if anyone responded to your question- one possible reason might be your Alde is always set to night operating mode. On the 2017 Classics you can find the night menus from “menu” “wrench symbol”, “crescent moon symbol”. Check the timer is not always on and the temp setting.

You also might check the system clock: “menu”, “clock symbol” and make sure the clock is set to the right time AND the clock is set to “on”.

I highly recommend adding the Alde battery backup to keep the time constantly- call Alde US customer support (number on the internet). They will send it to you for $9.95 plus shipping

Post as many times as you'd like and as many new threads as you wish. Pay no mind to the self-annointed 'thread patrol."

Enjoyed your feedback...enjoy your Classic!
