Satelite cable location?

Where is the satellite cable in a new Classic 30? I've pulled the cabinet where the blue ray player is located, lots of wires but no satellite cable or cable tv cable.

I want to install my Dish Wally receiver at that location. My last trailer had the cable there.

The manual says both the cable and sat lines should be there. They are not.

Had Bruce and his wife over to test the convection oven. While they were here Bruce also to a look at the wiring. The cables just are not there. As they were leaving we looked at the connector on the exterior. It is screwed in. I will remove it tomorrow to see if there are wires hooked up.

I found the sat cable coming under the dinette seat. It goes into a harness, out of the harness and seemingly up the tv wall. Just doesn't come out the top. I have a snake camera but have not been able to see it for all the insulation.

On our 2017 Classic, the coax was under the DVD cabinet inside left hand upper cabinet. 4 screws, lift off, and in the back corner left side. I had to dig around all the wires to find. I could pull about 6" to 8" coax further out to connect to the Wally. Mounted the Wally receiver on top of DVD cabinet. Used Velcro to secure the Wally and Hard Drive for recording.

The hard was running HDMI cable back to the TV.

Best regards and safe travels...............

Forgot to tell. I swung the TV away from the wall, on the right side (vertical) removed wood panel to expose chase. Coax should be running up this chase.

Best regards and safe travels...........

While you’re in the cabinet you may want to add one of these to accommodate additional input. The one you have only has two inputs. If you ever want to add an Apple TV, etc. you’ll need one of these. I have a Wally hooked up and our cable was under the DVD cabinet.

Yep, that is perfect. I'll have one shipped to one of our destinations.

I found out from JC that the cable was never brought out into the cabinet space. It should be in the wall. They said that the side wall next to the Bluray cabinet (you have to take out the cabinet) is held by three screws. Pull the false wall out and you will have room to reach into the wall cavity. I will be trying that later today. We sacrifice the Bluray player for the Dish receiver, but with the monoprice switch, we can have both and MORE!

We did the same thing as sbowman. Mounted the Wally on top of the cabinet with Velcro. In the picture you also see a WiFi Ranger Elite (works great!) and a Weboost 4G-X Cell booster. Endless ways to spend your money! If you would ever like the complete “how to” and “where to buy” both of those connectivity solutions, I have a write up I did after several Forum members asked about how it was done. Send me a PM with your email I will send it to you if want it.Click image for larger version

After various attempts to find the Satellite cable, I finally found it! Airstream routed the cable into the coach and then included it in a wire bundle that went the opposite direction. They then decided it was going the wrong way so they took it out of the bundle of wires and routed it back. That used up about 4 feet of wire. So . . . . when they routed it up the wall, it was too short! Well, how do you solve that problem?

Just leave the short end in the wall in a Classic 30!

I will include some pictures tomorrow (its late right now) that will show you how to get a short wire out of the wall!

So here is where I found the cable. Four screws take out the side wall leaving a channel for a lot of cabling to go up to the cabinet above.

I've added a short 4' extension to test my satellite receiver. The extension is shown in the picture. So the original cable only came up halfway up the wall.

I have made it a habit to email JC when I find things like this so they can determine who or why it happened. We all should probably use this practice.
