Reset Firefly

We had to have our battery disconnected for some work.

Now the firefly can not figure out how much fresh water we have, how full the black and gray tanks are and the temperature in the front.

Any suggestions on how to reset?
Chuck

Make sure all wires in the battery box where reconnected first. Then I would try hitting the battery disconnect switch (off then on). It's like a re-boot on your computer. Make sure your not plugged in to shore power while doing this. Good Luck!

Airhead,

Thanks. When you say battery box, are you referring to the gray box under the middle of the couch?

Battery box is the box outside in front where the batteries are located. Make sure they are hooked up and hooked up correctly. I took a cell phone picture, sent it to my laptop and my wife's phone so we are sure we have them hooked up correctly.

Our batteries are now lithium inside the trailer. Everything is working fine except the tank sensors on the firefly (which do show up on the panel under the sink correctly) and the front only temperature probe.

Hmmm.

Hmmm.
What Lithums did you add and what modifications did you have to do with the hookup or solar?

Thanks

Bud

Hi Bud,

Lew (AM Solar installer) installed Victron Lithium’s ( 2 x 200 amp hr), Victron solar Controller kit, Magnum MSH3012 Inverter and 600 Watts solar on roof.

Thank you Chuck.

Might contact Lew when he is in Naples.

Sorry Chuck, I am clueless in regards to your set up. Sounds like Paiceman has a handle on it though. Good Luck!

I suggest go right to Firefly technical support for troubleshooting. 574-825-4600. Have your VIN and the two firmware version numbers- these are found in the menu on your Firefly panel.

Problem solved (mostly).

Tried to call Firefly but they were already closed. Fortunately, I found another thread where someone else spoke to a tech.

The tech recommended disconnecting from shore power, then disconnect the battery. Guessing the red switch by the door. Since I have lithium batteries, I also had to turn off the master battery switch.

Wait two minutes then turn the battery back on. This will reset the firefly.

This took care of most of my issues. I think the other is a disconnected wire.

Hope this helps.
