Got my airstream home yesterday. We found the batteries dead. Technician checked out the solar system, module failure. Everything else is fixed. Got rig plugged in and we will see if the batteries recover.
Dead batteries, not good...if Interstate 12V wetcell, if they are still under warranty from Interstate, see about a "trade-up" to either 6V. They usually will work with the customer. Good luck!

That seems to be AS Dealer policy...skip the batteries on the PDI, deliver with them dead or dying.
Ours were shot at delivery...17yrs ago. 🥴
They were pro-rated by Interstate, three years later replaced by Lifeline AGM's, 11 years later by Battleborn Lithiums.👍

I’m done with ‘adulting’…Let’s go find Bigfoot.
Classic 33FB 2018:
We purchased this used in 2020 not many miles on in per the inspector. After using it and having minor issues with it we brought it to airstream inland empire (temecula, CA) for repairs.
Inverter inop
heat/hot water inop on electrical
various electrical shades not working correctly
multiplex panel in overhead bed panel inop
outside storage bins roadside detaching from chassy
The multiplex panel for temp control does not work on auto
Doing some digging on my own I saw wires and electronics that were just pushed into corners and not attached to anything. Being that coaches move alot i was surprised. This could lead to faulty electrical connections as the inverter issue was a loose connection
I contacted Jackson and the COO to see what would be covered and since it is out of warrenty they are of no help. The top issues of the multiplex panel and outside storage bin. This appears to be a quality of the build at airstream. I would be very careful about purchasing another airstream and would look to buy a much older one and renovate it completley so that I could control the quality. Luckily I got this at a very good price.
I will have to go thru it and bundle the wires myself as I upgrade the electrical and install solar.
Airstreams of any vintage have always had notorious cable management. From appearances, rats are employed to construct nests from the wiring. Literally any work in this area by anyone of any skill level would be an improvement over the original.
