Propane hook up
Hi
I adapted the propane hose that came with the 33 Classic to my gas grill, no pressure or not enough to fire up the grill. What’s up with that? Depressed the quick connect and am getting flow but not enough to cook up them ribs. Why have this feature if it doesn’t work?
Anyone else have this trouble?

Did you remove the grill's regulator? Need to do that.
I adapted our Weber Q grill by removing the regulator and replacing it with fittings to plug on 12' of two hose sections plugged into the Airstream's port under the battery box.
It works fine but is slow to light. Perhaps it takes a long time to purge the air out of the hose, or perhaps the pressure is a tad low. Once it's lit it works great.

Some gas grills, like the Weber Q, have a LP regulator that is separate from the heat control knobs. In those types of grills it is possible to remove the regulator and install LP adapters to work with a hose from the Airstream low pressure port. However, if your grill has the control knob as part of the regulator, as in the Magma stainless grills, you can't adapt it.
As you are at higher altitude in Colorado your LP regulator may need adjusting too.

Crap I broke the gas valve trying to take the regulator off!! Webber wants $80 plus shipping and taxes, grill is 10 yers old. Needed a new one anyway.

Gas grill
Suggest Weber Q1000 or Q1200. Either are great grills. Kits are sold to make it possible to plug directly into your Low Pressure Port supplied on your Airstream. Tasty steaks are soon to be had!

We went with a cuisinart grill. Had a regulator that was easily removed and was able to slip on the LP hose that airstream provided.
Great grill, wish hose was longer but grill works great and we got a great deal under $100 since it was dented

Congrats on the new Classic 33'. We just picked ours up about a month ago. Great unit and we are looking forward to getting it on the road once the weather gets a bit better. Yes, I learned about this double regulation issue with our 2014. I just converted our generators over to try-fuel and contacted the factory on the gas pressure coming out of the port as I was never able to find it in the literature on our 2014 or the 2019. Airstream tells me that is is 11" w.c. Grill will not work if the grill has a regulator also attached. We find it is better to use a separate unregulated propane bottle for the grill. That way the grill can be set up anywhere you want.

We also got a grill that works great for a little over $100. Hooks up directly to with the hose to the LP port on the outside. The Weber grills are great grills, but way over priced IMHO. And they just don’t go on sale, ever it seems.

Google alde mixing valve adjustment. The mixing valve is under the banquet seat closest to the door. If you want a hot shower this valve needs to be adjusted. Airstream sent out the fix , follow the instructions and you’ll have plenty of HOT water. Run the alde system on heat highest temperature for a whole day, check the head tank that’s between the shower door and the bathroom door. The glycol level drops. Bleed air periodically during that day via the towel bar. Macerator toilet is a 2 flush as everything doesn’t head down to the tank the first time . Convection microwave is a bust. Add 5 minutes minimum time to anything you convection bake with. Add a screen on the Alde vent right outside the door. Wasps and mud daubbers like to make that home. Oh I use gas and electric when using the shower boost, cuts the time in half or the heat up.
