New Battleborn Batteries in 30' Sofa Armrest

I see Battleborn recently released some new batteries. They have a 270Ah 12V LiFePO4 battery that is approximately 23L x 7w x 13h. It would take some modifications to the armrests (probably complete rebuild), but I think you could get one in each of the sofa armrests for a total of 540ah. Thats plenty of power for most of us. Then the space under sofa can be used to install a Victron multiplex 3k. I have seen 400ah installed under sofa, it fits, but it is really tight.

If there are any 30' classic owners about to upgrade to lithium, it might be worth a closer look.

They are pretty proud of their new form factor, $2900!

I think I would still opt for 3 of their regular 100 Ah batteries and get the additional 30Ah for slightly less than the cost of this one battery.

Yea they are slightly higher. It works out to $10.74 per AH for the new ones. The traditional GP27 style are $10.00 per AH, but when on sale they are $9.00 per AH.

My original plan was to cram 4 regular 100Ah, a 3K inverter and other equipment under the front reclining sofa. But, if i can get 1 of these new 270 Ah in each armrest of the sofa, that will give me 540 Ah and that frees up a lot of space under sofa for the other equipment.

The really crazy part is 270Ah cells similar to what they are using can be had for $140/ea ~$560/pack. And that is in mere mortal small quantities... buy a whole shipping container worth like battleborn would do and the costs are event lower. I smell a 4x markup.

If you are willing to do some research and forum reading the diysolarforum has a ton of good info on assembling a 4s pack. Alternatively if you highly value your time and/or money is cheap, Battleborn will be there to help you out (presumably on day zero or day 1000).
