New 30' Classic

We are taking delivery of our new 30' Classic in December and part of the deal is a new WD hitch. We can chose between the Blue Ox or the Reese Dual Cam. No experience with either. What's the pros and cons of each? Thanks

Both are good. Lots of choices. Reese vs Blue Ox... I have had both; The Reese I had was fine; I have had 3 new Blue Ox Sway Pro's with my last 3 AS 25' rigs and I really like the feel and control it provides. It has worked as advertised in controlling sway, at least twice where I got into a bad situation due to drivers cutting me off, while driving at 65mph...straightened us right out, along with our built in sway on our TV. I did purchase an additional 18" socket breaker bar with a 1" socket on Amazon to give me more leverage in locking/unlocking the chains during set up, but not required. Great system...look at the youtubes and learn how they work.

I use and like the Reese Dual Cam. But if I was buying again I would try the Blue Ox. Never used one but I see a lot of happy owners with them, it looks like a good design, and it is a good company.

Yup. Like needing a Huge heavy duty diesel truck and a ProPride hitch setup to boot.

Never mind the truck, but I did go with a ProPride system.

We went with the Blue Ox, not an expert on any of the hitch issues, but certainly lots of good feed back and threads are available here on this forum

Blue ox for me too. I also purchased a longer breaker bar and socket to ease install of chains. Havenít used anything else but at this point the blue ox works great and I donít know if I need to try anything else. Best of luck! Let us know what you decide.
