Mattress replacement
Hey everyone, got a mattress question. We have a 2018 Classic w/queen bed where the head of the bed rises and it is DONE. So, we are looking at purchasing a replacement from Airstream Supply Company. Has anyone bought one of these mattresses and specifically the one like we have? It's hard to tell how comfortably they are from the sample they sent and they don't have a showroom.
Thanks

I haven’t looked into replacing the mattress yet but have you thought about going to a dealer and laying on the stock mattess in the classic?
I think they use tuft and needle now? I would be interested in that next time we are near a dealer

I have heard good things about this company. We have a bid from them and have not pulled the trigger. They require schematics of the mattress from Airstream. They were easy to get. We have a 2014 FC 27FB twin. The original mattresses was only 78", but the space is made for an 80" length. So when we order, we are going to or the 80". We replaced ours 3 years ago from Airstream Supply and the are comfortable. Mattress insider also sells sheets that are guaranteed to stay on. The radius corner makes it easy for the fitted sheet to come off.

Good info! So your mattress from Airstream Supply has you looking for a new one only after 3 years?

We purchased the 8 1/2 plush from Airstream Supply and added a 1 inch Layla topper as we have different sleep issues- I’m a side sleeper but my husband has back issues and needs more support. We were able to try out the mattress as it is made by Mattress Insider in CO. This company makes other mattresses for RVs and can customize for all Airstream models and sizes. We thought the Mattress Insider memory foam mattress was quite comfy but it isn’t a good choice for those with back concerns. They also make a latex mattress which was too firm for my shoulders. That’s why we chose Airstream Supply . We are currently on our first trip of the season and we both slept great .Hope this helps.
