LP tank removal for refilling

How? There are wired level sensors on each tank. As usual, the 2018 Classic manual was written pre-Alde and 2018 so it is useless. Do you pry off each sensor and glue back on. There are absolutely NO INSTRUCTIONS! Why did I ever trade in my 2015?

Hmmm. the tank sensors on my 2018 Classic has these red inline bullet connectors on the tank sensor lines. Surprised that they are not there, but easy to install if they are missing.

They probably didn't provide instructions because they thought people would be smart enough to know to unplug the single spade terminal wire going to the sensor, unscrew the giant wing nut holding the tank cover in place, remove the tank cover, then unscrew the LP line from the tank, refill, and replace.

LP tank removal for refilling

Don’t forget to turn off the tank valve BEFORE you unscrew the LP line from the tank, please...[emoji3]

And do be nice to one another. We were all unfamiliar with something at some point in our lives, just sayin’

Ok genius. I did what you said; the wire broke because someone at factory krimped the spade connector. Now I have to repair it.

Hi

The same magic connectors occasionally get a bit oxidized. When that happens, the tank level indicator *should* let you know. The simple fix is to just wiggle things a bit. The more complex fix would be some contact cleaner and maybe some spray lube.

That’s what I like about AS folks. Always willing to help out a newbie. Deltaron welcome to the AS family Look at the wire from the bottle and you should be seeing an connection pull it a part. Never loosen the connection on the bottle.

Hi

If you are pulling the connectors apart, only pull on the body of the connector. Yes, that's a pain. Resist the urge to grab the wires and pull them. If you need to grab the connectors with a pair of pliers, be careful not to crush them. It's fairly easy to mash them permanently together ....

You have to pull the connectors, not the wires. You pulled the wire out of the crimped connector. That’s your fault not Airstream’s.
