I agree. A really nice vintage Airstream professionally restored and refitted properly with all of the current amenities will cost more than a brand new Classic. I would love to have one like that, though.
We have had three Airstreams over the last twelve years, a 2005 Safari 25FB, a 2012 Flying Cloud 23FB, and a 2015 Flying Cloud 25FB. We have immensely enjoyed all of them as we approach 1,900 nights of Airstream camping. Two were purchased new and one used. All had some QC problems, but nothing that stopped the fun. We have learned a lot, fix most things ourselves, and continue to have the time of our lives.
