Inverter and CZone
Happy New Year, everyone! On our 2019 Classic, the inverter turns on automatically whenever we choose the “Cinema Mode” from the CZone. This is when we are fully connected @30 or 50 AMP.
I cannot find and reason for it to turn on, nor can I find anything in the literature to suggest it should.
Apparently that’s a program error. I’m in a 30, so not sure if there is a fix for this. You’ll just need to turn off the inverter if you press cinema mode or do it the old fashioned way and lower each window individually like us non power black out folks [emoji12]

Ok so I’ve been deep in the guts of the 30’ classics and here is what I know.
With the C-Zone in Cinema mode the inverter will always come on. It’s one of the commands programmed into that setting. Why you might ask..... well when you are in “Cinema’ mode the Trailer has to assume you are not connected to shore power in order for that mode to work all the time, so the inverter Relay is programmed to close switching on the inverter to run the TV and BlueRay player.
If you are on shore power the program still runs the same, switching on the inverter.
This creates a problem when on shore power not because the inverter is sending power, but because of the heat the inverter naturally creates and the cooling fan noise associated with that heat.
On a recent install I did. I removed the factory inverter for a much larger Victron MultiPlus 3000.
This process of the new install eliminates the problem but is an expensive solution.
