In-Line Valves Aldi System Not Moving ?

Hello again .....

My first attempt at de-winterizing our new '17 Classic. My issue is I can not turn the line valves to open or closed as needed on the Aldi system lines under the dinette seat. I have applied a reasonable amount of force but they will not move. I do not want to damage them or the lines by applying excess force. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so what was the remedy?

Thank you as always ....

Jed

Hi Pops1814- glad to hear you are getting ready to travel with your Classic. I did have a bit of trouble getting the valve to move and was very concerned that I was about to break it as well, Just as I was about to give up I gave it one more try and low and behold it moved. I am sure you will get lots of advice from others that have our model and are much more familiar with all things Airstream and Alde related but my advice is to try once more. Remember Righty - tightly, lefty - loosely and go for it.
Once I was able to move it I did hit it with a touch of WD-40 and it works easy now.

Pops, they move, keep them level don't pull or push and they will turn. Enjoy.

Try a touch of silicon spray lubricant. It's non-toxic, non-corrosive, and odorless. It's not a solvent, but it will penetrate microscopic crevices pretty well.

JFYI, I checked a couple of my valves on alde tubing, one CW and one CCW to shut, so lefty loose-e doesn't apply to winky quarter throw ball valves installed by Airstream.
