Classic Electric Pedestal Table

Does anyone know the manufacturer of the electric pedestal? 2024 Classic. Looks like the same part number has been used for several years.

Strangely in the 30' 2024, they changed the manual switch in the galley to a very cheap looking box with flimsy buttons, moved it to a harder-to-reach location behind the TV, and added yet another wireless remote.

Very odd. The 2024 Airstream Parts Manual shows the 30 and 33 having the same exact setup for the dinette.

It was very frustrating trying to find the control box for the dinette. I watched YouTube videos, read the manual front-to-back, etc, and there was nothing. Everything referred to it being "at the end of the galley". That's why I think it's a 2024 change.

In reality, you have to pull the TV out to get to it. When you do find it, there is a white box with some fragile grey buttons that manually allow you to move it up and down. But first you have to press and hold the down button for 5 seconds to 'unlock' it. Honestly, it looks like a home-made Raspberry Pi project stuffed into a generic white box. How is it in the 33?

You can add a switch pretty easy.

In our 2017 30' classic the switch is on the firefly panel grouped with all the other control switches. Works like a charm.

I will probably never move the table. If this missing switch makes you love your Safari then its a winner for you.

I went to use this table and it wouldn't sync. Just to test it . I called the dealer. They said hold the down arrow button for 5 seconds and it will turn green and you can use it. They then said it will reset to red in 2 minutes and next time you use it you have to do the same thing. He then said Airstream could not get the wall module and did this to get out trailers.

Thanks for that info from Airstream Renagade69. Now it all makes sense. Yes, I read about the 'unlocking' requirement involving the down button for 5 seconds. You have to do this with either the box or remote. I looked at the manual switch you mentioned, but it does not fit with the control unit under the dinette bench. I reached out to Progressive to ask how to get this done with that RT17 switch they sell online. Will report back when I get an answer.

This is the kind of stuff that really gets me ticked off.
They could have solved their problem by installing a simple rocker switch on the wall by the fridge and be done with it.
Todays generation completely lacks common sense and the ability to solve problems.
If they can't find an answer on Google they are lost.

I have switched to calling it "good sense" because "common" doesn't apply anymore.

Response from Progressive:

Thank you for reaching out to us at Progressive Automations.

The FLT-11 Lifting Column comes with its own control box, wired hand remote, and wireless remote. Unfortunately, our FLT remotes are not compatible with the FLT-11.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

the FLT-11 control box does not have buttons on it like the one installed in the Classic. I have a feeling asseccories are only available under the custom orders area. Airstream hasn't called me back on this either.

I called Airstream up and asked when they would have a wall mount switch. They told me the remotes were sent out by mistake and would not work and the wall switch is behind the Television. They are confused on what production did. I told him how to make the remote work.
