Classic 2019 Tuft and Needle split mattress question

Hi,

We own an 2016 30' Classic and have loved most everything except the mattress. In an Airstream showroom we tried the split mattress in the 2019 Classic and liked it so we purchased one from Airstream.

When it arrived we noticed it did not have tie downs like our original mattress. Unfortunately, the mattress slides around when we drive, even on flat roads.

Do the mattresses that actually come with the 2019 have tie-downs? If not, how have you solved the problem of the mattress sliding around?

2018/19 have a stopper at the end of the bed to prevent it from sliding. I guess you could probably buy one of those too or make one. Just screws into the frame of the bed

Is your stopper something made by Airstream?

I’m not sure we have the tuft and needle. I’m in an 18, I believe 19 is what starting getting it. We do however have a mattress topper that we enjoy. I like out mattress more than I like the guest bed available in family and friends houses [emoji39]

I have a 2017 Classic that had the mattress ties downs. You can buy the mattress bars from airstream (appx $15) - just call your local dealer. I put one on our queen mattress and then added a second . BIG improvement over the tie-down and the mattress stays in place.
