Charge Controller and Monitor Location

I’m planning to mount three solar panels on our 2017 Classic (240 total watts) and I was told by Airstream that the wires from the ports on the roof run to the front of the trailer under the couch. In our ’87 Sovereign, I was able to mount a blue sky MPPT controller on the flat surface behind the couch, but in our new Classic, there isn’t a similar place to install it. I was also told there were hidden wires to the right of the kitchen window for a solar monitor, but I'm nervous about cutting into the metal backsplash. I would really appreciate hearing where people chose to install their charge controllers (and monitors) and how they ran the necessary wires for them. Thanks!

I just installed Victron, not in the same size trailer as yours, but it can go just about anywhere you want. Victron has BT dongle capability so you do not even need a monitor installed, you can just check it on your phone.

Larry - Thank you for the response. I didn't realize wireless was an option, but going wireless sounds like a much easier way to go. Thanks, again!

We put nine 100 watt panels on the roof of our 2014 Classic and could possible put one more there. The solar charge controller is in the void behind the shelving in the triangular cabinet attached to the dinette. I made a mission control area above the television for all the equipment displays.

Blue Sky controller inside cabinet area next to Airstream stock breaker panel near floor. The controller is does not have to be seen because the MPPT remote displays all information. The MPPT is on a hollow wall in restroom next to the stock controlls from Airstream like fresh, black and grey water gauge, restroom light and water heater switches.

I am about to do the same on our 2017 Classic. I'm assuming it is only pre-wired and there is no charge controller in the trailer. So what controller should consider? I know it should be a 4 stage. Also, where to mount it? Any other considerations?
