Bathroom door handle

Has anyone heard or had done of a new handle upgrade on the door that stays on and tight. Have to tighten mine about 3 times a month and it just doesn't fit snugly. Also we have been stationary so its not from moving around a lot. Thanks

I am unsure from the OP post if the door is sticking and causes the handle to be placed under unusual stress.

In my experience with out 2014 Classic, Airstream does expend funds for the best quality hardware.

If they used wood screws, then glueing a couple of wooden match sticks in the screw hole and then reattaching might work, If they are machine screws, a drop of blue Loktite will hold them in place but still be removable, Red Loktit is not a good choice as you would end up having to drill the screw out in the future if work was necessary on the handle mechanism.

Plans vs, how it turns out...LOL

My plans were to photograph folks and their trailers. Logistics never worked out....so, only a few photos of people.

At the Spring Alumalina....more shot of folks and trailers, sort of walk around surprise.....but, also, more pets....and, at the events...lots of individual shots...always a crowd pleaser...as long as "You don't shoot my photo".....

And, thanks for your comment....and more...how is this?

Bob....I have had the same issue with my bathroom door handle. It has come off 3 times. I finally secured it with Locktite. You probably noticed that A/S did not mortise the lockset into the edge of the door. I did it myself for a better fit into the doorframe. While the handle looks nice, it seems as if the allen screw vibrates loose. We'll see if the Locktite works.

Use blue Loktite if you want to be able to remove the fastener in the future. Red Loktite is more for permanent fasteners.

I started by drilling a small hole into the metal shaft so the Allen screw would have something to hold on to and then used some blue lock tight to hold it in. With the small line up hole the handle stays tighter to the assembly.
