Back gets heat when front heat pump is on?

All,

We have a new 30' Classic RBT, after ordering in October of 21, and did our first 3 nights in Maine.

It was a bit chilly in the morning and 57 degrees in the trailer so I turned on the front AC/Heat Pump and set it to about 68 degrees. All good and it started heating the front.

The situation is that while I only had on the front heat pump there was a lot of heat coming out of the rear ceiling heat ducts and we don't want that. The rear AC/Heat pump was off. I tried to close down the rear ducts but still got quite a bot of heat.

I was under the impression that the front and the back were separate zones.

Any Ideas on this?

Thanks in advance and expect more questions from us as a new owner.

They are ducted together. If one unit is off you will still get airflow from that zone.

+1 it’s ducted together so you can run one AC or heat pump to stabilize the rig in general. The back being more closed off in a 30 classic just means it takes less to heat or cool that end.

On a positive, the Alde is very good at keeping a consistent temp across the entire unit and it’s quieter

OK - Thanks for the reply's

I would have rather had them be totally separate zones but understand that they are not and the rational for being ducted together.
