Alde water leak

Iíve had a slow water drip under my Alde/trailer that has been getting worstónow leaking about a heavy drop of water a second.

Itís coming from the largest black tube in the underbelly under the Alde which I assume is some sort of release/overflow tube but I canít find it inside/around the Alde. Is there a pressure valve within the Alde hot water tank that Iím not seeing? The two yellow drain valves cone out of two other hoses in the underbody.

I believe one of your relief valves may be stuck. This can be caused by hard water. Can you gain access to the alde and confirm where the water is coming from? Usually itís a valve with a clear drain tube and youíll see the water dripping in the tube.

Thanks, I think I found the clear tube coming out of a plastic valve near the top exterior edge of the Alde unit. Is there a secret to removing it and descaling it?

Itís a shark bite valve. I use a flat head screw driver. You need to press the red plastic toward the white valve all around the pipe and lightly pull. There is a special tool to release them if you wanna do it the right way. They are easy to break, so be careful.

You can also and probably should just order a replacement one from Truma. I was able to stop the leak when I had the same issue but it came back pretty quickly. If you have the replacement you can descale the first one and if it doesnít fix it, you already have the replacement.

Replacement is like $10 (I believe). Itís a special part from Truma though so you canít just find a replacement at Home Depot or Loweís.

The drip isnít a strain on the system in the short run.

I emptied and refilled the tank with the softened water which seems to have helped a lot. I will order the part if gets worst again. Thank you for your help!
