Alde 3020 help or advice - please?

Hello AS Family,

I was pretty excited this morning to take my AS out of winter storage for a quick weekend trip to see the grandkids, UNTIL I turned on the water pump. My excitement turned sideways when water was gushing out of the bottom of Alde system. In the process elimination, I could bypass the leak by bypassing the hot water flow through the Alde.

I was able to have an RV Guy come over and he said the Alde was shot and you need a new one. The morning turned into evening and I haven't been able to call Alde customer service yet. I asked the RV Guy and he said there are no signs of it freezing, it just wore out. I thought that is crazy for only 5 years old.

Assuming I will have to purchase a new unit, is there any advice on where to go to order a 3020 or the best way to proceed? Thank you!

I would contact Truma/Alde at (877) 860-9814 email: service@Alde.us.


The local Truma/Alde service tech reminded me that the Maximum water pressure for the Alde system is only 44psi.

OP,

Make sure you're not still winterized. On our 2022 Classic, there is one valve that remains open, and must be shut for normal operation in the Spring. It is a quarter-turn ball valve, with a silver oval handle.

Hopefully you have a good RV guy.
