Alde

2018 33’ Classic Queen. Have had problems with gas buildup in Alde. Frequent bleeding keeps the system operating. Is the source of the gas the heating of Glycol or??

Thanks reddogboyce

Sorry, no experience with the Alde system, but FYI the new search function in the blue box above [desktop version of this site] works great. Here are the "Alde problems" search results FYI:

You also might want to check the following sub-forums:

Good luck,

What do you mean by gas build up? Air bubbles or physically leaking LP?

PS -- Possible that the system is overheating the water, and that steam is the gas you are referring to?

The Glycol in the Alde heating system is being displaced by gas in radiators and lines reducing the ability to heat the trailer.

Sorry, I’m still not clear. Sounds like by gas, you mean air in the line. Are you bleeding the system in the recommended order and at all bleed points or just using a single point? I believe the towel bar is the highest point but obviously won’t get everything out if you only bleed that single point.

Have you brought it back into airstream? You should still be covered under warranty.

There should be no GAS in the ALDE system only glycol. When you refer to gas I assume you mean air, and that might need bleeding. When the system is operating you may hear some bubbling noise at the glycol reservoir, which is normal. If you hear some bubbling somewhere else you may want to bleed the system. Other than that there is a ton of things that could be wrong.

“A ton of things that could be wrong “ sounds like a dealer problem to repair.
