2021 Classic 33 Lift

We took my 2021 Classic 33 to @GMFL (Airstream Nuts & Bolts) for a 3” lift. I cannot say enough nice things about him & his family. We showed up the night before so we could start @ 7:30am. He met me out on his awesome concrete pad, got me water & 50amp service for my rig & recommended a great place to eat for dinner.

The lift went easy & quickly. No issues. If you have a 2021 Classic & want a lift - he’s your guy. Has all the parts in a very cool shop - it looks like a lift, solar, lithium store. I broke a latch to the dinette thing that covers my Alde system - not only did he have one, he installed it in under 2 mins for me.

Installed an AppleTV & adjusted my Alde mixer valve to help my wife get more hotter water at the shower.

Updated my door latch with his washer install (see videos on his Instagram page). Another great fix and two minutes.

Adjusted my hitch to accommodate the new height and even showed me a cool way to close my steps.

Sold me an upgrade grates for our stove to replace the cheap, dumb silver things that came with our AS.

It took me five hours to drive home and I swear it felt like it pulled better after the lift.

No this is not a paid commercial for him - I own a business and appreciate outstanding customer service. Thought I would share my experience since there has been discussions and hesitation on doing a 2021 Classic 33 lift.

Thanks Ronnie!!!

Lovely. He’s a great airstreamer, airstream ambassador, and Airstream Council member. Glad you finally got your lift!

Since you're still new in your Classic, can you list all the issues and upgrades you've had/made. We were told our 30' RBQ is scheduled to be built on the 24th of May (this May), delivery in mid-June. I asked for the lift and the dealer is going to install it.

We have not really had any issues. I hate to put that in writing or say out loud but we haven’t. Our PDI found a bunch and they got fixed prior to delivery day. We’ve done a bunch of 3-7 night trips the past five months and have had great times with zero issues.

I’ve done the lift and ceramic coating. We swapped out the BluRay player for an AppleTV and upgraded the grate on the stovetop. (Thanks GMFL)

Purchased a longer gas line (20’) so I can grill further away from the front of the AS using the gas line.

Bought Andersen levelers, XChocks & a LevelMatePRO.

Installed a key lock for the battery compartment.

Got a 50a Technology Research Sureguard.

We’ve owned SOB trailers & 5th Wheels - this Classic by far is above & beyond our favorite rig!

Hope that helps. Welcome to the family!!!

Annabelle33, can you post the link to the propane extension hose? I’ve been wanting one of those.

Steve - I used a three part process with GTechniq and Ceramic Pro. I found a guy here in Cumming, GA to do it and it looks & works great. 5 yr guarantee. It’s not as good as the product used in LoLo’s video but it was 20% of the cost and he came to me. I’d be glad to get you his number.

AnnaBelle - Did you look at a thread on here pertaining to ceramic coatings? I looked and nothing came to light. I see there are more and more ceramic coating products on the market for the DIY's. I see you can put it over a clean waxing and others use 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean old waxes off. Trying to do more research, I was told last Friday my AS is on delay again due to parts availability.

Ceramic Coating

Yes, I did a ton of research and driving to CA from GA and spending $4k to do it wasn't in the cards. The guy who did mine was doing the AS next to mine in storage and it looked great and I watched him meticulously work. So for a fraction of the cost - I went a different route. I have no regrets. I just went up and sprayed off dead bugs and mud with hose. No soap and no water marks. I'm very happy with my decision. He even did inside - shower glass, cabinets and counters.
