I have this same problem. When using the sofa, we frequently blow the 10A fuse in Position 9, which is labeled "Alde System". I replace the fuse, and the sofa foot rests work again. The label for the 25A fuse in Position 1 is "sofa motor". Wait, what??!!??

After several calls with Jackson Center and a few discussions with my RV mechanic, I have come to the conclusion that the sofa motor should, indeed, take a 25A fuse. The Alde circulation pump is very low-draw, so it doesn't make sense for that to be more than a 10A fuse. I have made an appointment at the JC Factory Service Center for mid-July. They are aware of my problem and have explicitly stated that something is mislabeled and mostly likely mis-wired. I will report back when I have a confirmed fix.

All that to say this, Dmassey: Is your fuse panel labeled like mine and are you replacing the "Alde" fuse when your sofa motor pulls too much current?

It’s currently at a storage facility but I will check when I am there next.

My fuse panel is labeled the same as yours…and the fuse popping is #9 labeled Alde System. It has a 10 amp fuse. Replacing that fuse definitely fixes the dead foot rests. Slot 1 is the labeled as the Sofa Motor and it has a 25 amp fuse. I’m guessing I have the same wiring issue as you.

dmassey, good luck. Our 2018 Classic 33 bought May, 2018 has been in various dealer shops and JC for over 440 days; it’s back at local dealer right now repairing the Alde/Firefly system again. System has “never” worked properly since new. Only problem now is that Airstream refuses to help; Truma who bought Alde says they do not know how to fix and our extended warranty is also not cooperating. We’re trying to get local dealer to buy since we’re refusing to take off their lot if and when they tell us it’s fixed again for the 4th time.
