2018 classic 33fb Alde system Drain Valves

Hello looking for some help, I recently drained my pipes in preparation for the winter weather that came blowing through GA....followed the procedure and recommendations that I saw on line and in the manual....all went well. this past weekend we went camping, and connected everything up and all appeared to be good but I noticed that I was seeing water coming out from the drain lines of the Alde system, I pulled the covers off the and again all appeared normal but the drain valves were fluttering, you could put a little pressure on them with your finger and the drain would stop but if you took your finger off the valve it would start again....temp fix was to put a zip tie on it for the weekend.
I bought the AS in Florida and guessing the system had never been winterized....thinking the valve springs are a little week and they need to be replaced .....wondering were I might be able to get a couple vales to replace the units.....thoughts

I’d call Truma direct. They are in Elkhart and have distribution right from alde in the US. Replacement valves should be less than $10 and should ship quick too. They are usually a pleasure to do business with.

Should be exciting. Just make sure you close off the system and drain everything before trying to replace a valve. More liquid than you think are in those lines.

Why call Truma? Do they now own Alde?

Truma has distribution rights in USA and alde closed their company owned US office. They are now only abroad. I’m actually working with alde to produce digital content for them. That gets me nothing with truma. Already tried when my alde flow failed [emoji12]

We had the same problem and since we are full time we went over a week before we had water. You can not purchase the part direct from Airstream, you need to go through a dealer (don't get me started on ANY Airstream dealer). Well we paid the dealer and had the part sent direct and we now have water. However that valve cost about $35

Alde

So where do we go if we have a future problem with our Alde system?

What do you mean?

Truma has owned US rights for the last couple of years. Nothing has changed for you as an airstream owner, you still go to airstream if you have future problems with Alde. If you want expedited parts for DIY you go directly to the manufacturer.

You can call Alde in the Netherlands but as I said, I’d go to Truma in the USA because they have distribution rights in the US.

You’re also free to still post your Alde concerns here and someone will attempt to help. between JC, dealerships, and forum we seem to be able to get the issue identified and corrected.

Is this what you’re asking?

The folks at Truma were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful, I will definitely contact them again if I need help with my system, as mentioned the valves were $35 each and they shipped them out same day.
