2018 Classic 33 -Bose Sound Bar

Since buying new, we’ve never had good volume thru the Bose. My dealer tells us that it was wired to the projector with regular RCA cable instead of audio optic cable. Cost to run 15’ optic cable will be $500. If you have a Classic 33, is your projector connected with an optic audio cable? Here’s pic of our RCA hookup.Click image for larger version

We have a 2020 Classic 33. The Bose soundbar blasts out good sound. I’ll check the connection for you and repost soon but I’m struggling with the problem being related to RCA vs optical.

I have a 2018 33’, we were having same problem. I pulled the Bose sound bar out, the Velcro made it tuff, found my RCA cables were not tightly connected. That did it, now blasts us out.

Also in the LG projector settings, we set the sound to Projector and wired headphones (that is how the Soundbar is connected). So we get sound from directly overhead and the Bose Speaker. Works great.

This is good to know. I'll be sure to check out my connections when we load up for the next adventure.

Update, I took Ron’s idea of changing out the RCA cables with the audio optic cable. It was an easy task. Removed the couch and removed drawer below the Bose speaker. You will see a duct that you can easily run the optic cable under the floor. I also removed the window shade box to run the cable up the wall to the projector. TIP, to get the window shade box out of the way. There are 8 wires for the window Shades. I marked them and then cut them and installed wire connectors so I could get the box out of the way. Will help with future times when you need to remove.

After the optic cable was run. Wow now we have sound!
