18 Classic 30 Subwoofer - signs of life?
I just moved the sub away from the factory's location under the middle section of the settee to under the curb side recliner. This was a simple move and I improved the mounting arrangements to give a better base than the factory's flimsy plywood stand. In the process I checked for any control switches or sign of life on the sub because I was not convinced that it ever worked. I did not find any switches, knobs or otherwise on the sub. I tested with a solid rock base track (Amanda Marshall - Let it Rain) while feeling the the sub and really did not detect much/any action. The connections seem good. Can anyone offer ideas on what/where to check if the wires are actually connected at the other end? The Polk Audio app has the subwoofer grayed out suggesting that it does not see it, so I suspect that there is a switch or a connection not made somewhere. I did check the box under the Blueray stand and there did not seem to be any connections or switches on it to match the sub wiring. Advice from the audio experts please!
