18’ 30 classic electrical issues

Was hooked up to shore power today and everything working great. Got to my final destination after towing all day and noticed my fridge wasn’t cold. Checked breakers under closet but nothing tripped.

No light on in fridge. Checked the outlet with my little tester guy and no power going to the GFI plug down below.

Went into breaker box to cycle the GFI breaker and now they won’t reset. Microwave not working and no plugs throughout the trailer are working. We do have full lights available but even microwave not working now. Tried unplugging everything that could be unplugged throughout the trailer with no luck.

Anyone have any ideas? Maybe I’m just not cycling this thing right? Gotta be smarter than the breaker?

Someone help! You can see in the photo the two GFI plugs on the right in the off position.

Hey Mr Big, might want to check out the Classic Fun with Fuses thread started by Uncle Bob. Sounds just like what he describes and also provides the answer to fix the problem. Pretty sure it’s an easy fix but getting to the inverter can be a pain. I sounds like you blew a fuse.

Hope this helps.

You are describing two issues and others have provided information on fixing your 120V outlet problems.

The fridge not being cold while on the road is another issue.

It runs on propane while travelling, not from the 120V outlet.
  1. Were your propane tanks turned on?
  2. Were your 12V batteries charged and
  3. Was your 7-pin connector providing charging current to the batteries while driving?
  4. Was your Use/Store switch in Use position?
  5. Was your fridge set to Automatic so that it would run on propane when you disconnect from shore power?

Thanks guys. I’ll look into inverter fuse. Though, my inverter plugs do work when inverter is on. I am not currently on shore power.

For fridge,
Yes tanks are turned on
Batteries charge when plugged in
Switch is in use position
Fridge in automatic

I wonder if the the issues are connected? I switched it to propane only last night. It looks like it got cold overnight.

I’ll call airstream if the fuse isn’t the issue.

Fuse did pop under microwave. I pressed the button and the fan and everything kicked on. Very helpful thread!

Trying to read up on the light on the left now. Should this be in the green position?

So.... it didn’t work. Couldn’t find fuse but found inverter and back side. Main breakers still won’t reset. Will call airstream when I get to my final destination. Also posted in the other thread to spark more conversation. Thanks for the initial assistance gents.

The 120v breakers will not reset without shore power to the trailer. The inverter supplies voltage to the receptacles marked inverter. Those receptacles are located near the televisions. It has no relationship with the refrigerator, but will draw your batteries down if you have it turned on.

What is your current battery voltage? If it is too low, the refrigerator will not operate.

That’s for the hint on 120v breaker. I’ll try and connect to shore power shortly. Fridge started working on propane last night. It’s cold now. Once I’m on shore power I’ll trouble shoot a bit more.

I discovered this by accident recently when trying to cycle the breakers to address an issue I was having with the Alde fan. They wouldn't reset until I supplied shore power using my generators.

Ha! You all are amazing. Got the breaker back on. Fridge is on propane only. Currently connected to shore power but wish me luck, disconnecting now.

Actually fridge is on propane and 12v. Propane will not ignite, hopefully, without an activated igniter using 12v power source.
