15" Tire or Rim Up-size Potential on 27 Flying Cloud

On trailers with 15 inch rims 27 foot or other, does anyone know what the tallest tire is I can put on it? Has anyone done a ~ 3 inch lift on one and enabled a bigger rim/tire size and if so what size did you get to? Thanks, Shawn

It's fairly common for folks to increase to a 16" rim staying with 225 some doing 235 width and 75 aspect. I haven't seen or heard of anyone doing anything more. What were you thinking about?

You'll probably get more help by posting in the appropriate Flying Cloud forum.

Looked on the FC forums and found nothing - thanks

I measure that the 235 80 R 16 will have a minimum clearance of just 3/8 inch which is pretty tight... The 225 80 R 16 will have a tight but comfortable 3/4 inch and the 235 75 R 16 will be 1-1/8 inch. FWIW the 75 aspect will be more stable and corner better.
