You should have 2 inputs in the connector port. The satellite port leads to a loose coax up near the blu-ray player, the other feeds directly into the connection for the antenna system that connects to the back of the TVs. So, just hook up a cable to the cable port outside, turn off the antenna amp (if it's on) and switch the TV to the tuner instead of the HDMI you'd use for a satellite box. You'll have to tell the TV to scan for cable channels and then it should "just work" unless the cable you're using requires a converter box.
