New Interstate 24X
Just saw this article, and wow...what a price tag! The Airstream Interstate 24X starts at $213,850 Coming to dealers soon! I recon there is a market for these, just seems pricy to me?

Sure does. Especially if you’re into boondocking you can get a van based alternative that’s heading towards half as much. This boondocker doesn’t get it.

Hi
There is another thread or three going on the Interstate X.
If you are looking for the cheapest MH or Trailer on the market, shopping at the Airstream dealer probably isn't a good start .... Until the 2022 prices on the other Interstates are announced, there's no way to know how the X fits in. One might guess that they all will be pretty closely priced.

Here we go again. The “if you can’t afford an airstream” attitude is back. It’s about value. Big $ for a quality product is understandable. But the quality isn’t there across the board.
I guess I don’t get the high brow “we drive airstreams” attitude.

Hi
Welcome to the Airstream Haters Club .... Not really clear *why* you would want to hang out on an Airstream centric forum.
Airstreams have *never ever* been the low cost option, not since they first came out. They have always sold at a premium price. That's just they way it is and how it's always been. Anybody who tells you they made them different back in the day, wasn't around back then .....

I have one. And it’s awesome.
I just don’t get why it always goes to a discussion about cost. You don’t have to have $250 grand to have a nice rig and a good time. So why go there.

Hi
Hang on a sec ...
".....It’s about value. Big $ for a quality product is understandable. But the quality isn’t there across the board......"
Put in simple English that translates to : They are to expensive
You might want to update your info so we can see what sort of AS you have.

You are very active here lately, civeng99, tho don’t apparently have an Airstream nor are you looking for one nor do you appear to be an Airstream devotee of any kind, shape or form.

He has (or is still looking) a little but expensive for it's size AS with poor build quality that he pulls with a van but is against big diesel trucks with Michelin tires and wasting money but yet bought an Airstream.
Or he just likes some lively antagonistic banter.
Some folks just naturally have a more sarcastic writing style and like to spin the crowd up a bit for more engaging debate.

Hi
Ok, so the statement you made earlier that you have an Airstream was simply an outright lie. Not entertainment, not sarcasm, just an outright lie.

Because this is a public forum, and folks are free to talk about whatever they want?

We just picked up our 24X Thursday, and headed off for Portland (from N CA) Friday. The coach ran beautifully, however we have a laundry list of personal tweaks/repairs necessary to optimize our experience and investment.
MSRP is just that--talk with your dealer if you are truly interested.
