Great information here.
For those of you who cook regularly in your oven have you checked how true the temp setting is?
Just finished cooking a small turkey in the old Dometic ( 2014 International) and the temp is 125 degrees low.
Had to set it to 450 to get an oven temp of 325.
Is this normal?
Thinking of switching to the Furion if is any better.

I have the gas cooktop and convection microwave below it. Has anyone done a similar conversion with the Furrion slide it cooktop?

Wrongly identified my oven as dometic when it is an Atwood.

The Furrion oven is wildly inaccurate if you treat it like a normal oven. I just posted my workaround though at https://www.airforums.com/forums/f48...ed-228502.html

Furrion 21" range knob led issue

We recently installed our Furrion Range and love the look of it. I've used the top burners and they are working perfectly, as is the oven. The problem we're having is on the knobs.
When I tried turning on the oven light for the first time it came on for a split second then went out immediately.

Afterwards the knob lights were wacky. They were all blue the first couple of times we used it, but now the 2 on the left have no light, the center one is purple, the one next to it is blue and the Oven knob has no light.

Any thoughts???

School me

Other than the cool light up knobs, what is special about this unit?

I’ve had to take apart mine so I’ve had a chance to see the circuit for the range. It’s very simple, no microprocessors or fancy stuff. The temperature is all controlled mechanically.

Pop the black top off (pull it forward and then pull up on the front) and you’ll see the knobs and switch. Each knob has a blue LED and a red LED. See if the wires seem secure and not damaged in some way. I can imagine a single knob’s internal switch or the light switch being damaged but for that many failures to happen it is probably a wiring issue.

Thanks for the replies. I'll pull the top and look for any loose wires or anything else amiss. The oven light was burned out so I'll replace that and see what happens next!

Hmmm, I was looking at the Pottery Barn and the oven. We have a Classic with the Dometic CU-434 that has issues. I've been trying to get parts, oven thermocoupler, and can't get one. I wonder if this would fit in the opening, it's half the price and looks better.

I’m pretty sure the 434 is a slightly different size. You’d need to check the cutout specs.

I looked at the manuals and don’t see if the oven burner is in the top of the oven or the bottom. Concerned about browning muffins, biscuits etc. I have the Atwood where the burner is near the bottom, however the burner is high enough you can put things under it to brown. Please let me know what your experience is with browning items like baked goods.

The burner is at the bottom like the Atwood. You can put things under the burner like you are used to.

The Furrion sure looks great but it’s oven is pretty typical of RV gas ovens…in other words marginal. Yes you can learn tricks to overcome its deficiencies in temperature control and unevenness but it’s not like a good convection oven at home.

I ordered a Suburban Elite Plus range instead of the Furion for the same reason a few have mentioned- parts hard to get. I have been waiting a month so far.

Greetings, Perhaps a bit late for this question but any additonal thoughts on the Furrion or GreyStone? We have a 2019FB and would like to upgrade the oven. Our electrical panel is within a foot or so away from the opening. If anyone has a similar rig we would appreciate a wiring diagram or pictures of how the connection would be made. Or perhaps thoughts on what a dealer would charge.

What fuse panel? I an getting ready to install a new RecPro (Furrion) stove and would like the lights. But where is the 12V supply? My stove is next to the frig (23' FC). Is there a splice I could do there? Thanks.

Where did you tap into the 12 V line?

I’ve had the Furrion for over a year and it works well. The only complaint I have is it takes a ling time for the pilot light in the oven to stay lit. I have to press in the knob for about 2 minutes. Once lit, the oven works well. As for parts availability, anything is better than Dometic. They have become the king of no parts available/discontinued. The CU434 is the latest example.

Native143, I just put mine in and it looks great. Can't wait to get it out next season. To answer your question, I tapped into the line that supplies electricity to my propane detector. I have a 2006 25FB so it was pretty easy to get to.
I did not buy a Furrion but got a similar unit through RecPro. The only difference I have found is how the lights work. Mine has a single switch that turns on the oven light and the blue knobs in front. They do not turn to red when you have a burner on. We are excited about the oven light but not so excited about the blue knobs. I doubt we won't have them on very often.

The main reason we made the change is the pain in the neck, back and shoulders when I had to light the oven pilot. Now, it is just a click and it is on. I have already tested it by setting the dial to 350, putting in an oven thermometer and reading about 355. We will have to be careful going forward.

Long time posting back but at least some news. I finally did get the Suburban 3636A installed and have been camping with it. Excellent oven. I found that the temp was off about 55 degrees high but I used a thermometer and it makes biscuits and cookies like home- LOL. Very even temperature. Haven't checked it with a cake yet but it appears to be a very good oven. I had to cut more counter out and also bolt in a set of aluminum bars for it to sit on in my model since the furnace is under the stove.
