Awning Struggles

I have a 27FB with the manual Zip Dee awning. I'm looking for a recommendation for a lubricant to use on the telescoping arms on the door side, the large awning. I've tried a couple products but I still have to use a huge amount of effort to extend the two arms to fully deploy the awning. Thoughts?

Check youtube for two videos, one on the correct way to deploy the awning and another on how to take the poles apart.and clean out accumulated crud. Some people have.bent their poles by using the top brace incorrectly. It can also be a bit dangerous to mess with an awning (Spring whipping around without warning) so be cautious and sure you study the videos.

I redrain from a verbal "how to" because the videos are clearer.
