Airstream Wash

Hi Everyone, believe it or not going to wash our Air Stream for the first time. Any suggestions on where you would normally take it to give a good clean??

I wash mine in my driveway or at the trailer storage facility.

Look online for DIY truck washes close to you for another option.

Driveway, with a soft bristled extendable brush. Meguires works well overall, but you may want something like spot applications of Campsuds to gently remove bugs and tar like substances. Pay particular attention to the belt line trim - the caulking there seems to attract grime, which progresses to mold. A gentle scrubbing sponge helps with that. Nothing too aggressive - damaging the clearcoat leads to the dreaded filiform invasion.
Your shopvac blower attachment is useful for chasing away dried leaves, etc before you start.
I avoid the whirling mops or pressure washers at the commercial places. By the time you drive there, you can have the job done at home.
Just pick a warm day and get a cold drink, and enjoy the job!

I use a foam cannon, pressure washer, extended wash brush and car wash/wax. I try to time a wash during a light drizzle so I dont have to worry about soap drying on the camper plus the rain helps with the rinse.
