I wonder how the demand will go, it's nearing Classic pricing but they promise only 100 to be built. Good bet they will offer another rear hatch model to follow.

They will trip over themselves snapping up your $112K cash offer; I would start well under $100k.

Wow, well under $100K really? I know the "standard" RV industry works off a silly 20-35% below MSRP scheme, but I didn't know Airstream fell into the same range.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Given the limited production I doubt more than 20% off is realistic. Some will say got more than 20% off but I bet those were units sitting on the lot for months during the last recession. What I'd do is price a same size International model, or Eddie Bauer and see where this fits in compared to those two. Hopefully you can get more than 15% off.

20% off MSRP should be achievable. Probably not much more. Be sure to add in delivery/shipping costs to that number. You can go to RVdirect.com to learn shipping costs. Delete any "documentation" fees.

Shipping costs to every Airstream dealer are the same price whether they are in Washington state or Ohio to level the playing field a little.

As this is a simple virtually "no option" purchase, I would not hesitate emailing as many dealers as practical to offer you the all-in bottom line "this is what I'm writing the check for" price.

I'd start with the biggest dealers. They are the one's that will actually be getting at least one.

I'm betting trailer cost right now at maybe 10%+/- off. More in about 9 months.

This is just me, but I wouldn't get too hung up about it. If you can afford 100k+ then just buy it (after doing what DanB suggests). You'll have one of the coolest and unique Airstreams made.

A new Airstream is a terrible financial investment. You'll lose thousands on one of the happiest days of your life, the day you drive it off the lot. Other than camping, and planning more camping, the next most fun thing about a Airstream is spending ever more money customizing and outfitting it to your tastes. Welcome to the family.

Hah, ya I am used to buying things that depreciate fast. Like $100K+ sports cars that probably depreciate faster than an airstream.

The Pendleton model is a thing of beauty. We have a 2015 Eddie Bauer and we really, truly love the interior appointments. We didn't want leather and fancy. We are camping after all, so we love the canvas, flooring and light woods. The Pendleton is fancy but still maintains that outdoor feel.

I doubt given the limited numbers being produced that you will find a dealer willing to come too much off the price. When we purchased our EB, it was one of the only I could find in the US in a 25' length. They didn't negotiate much on price, but did on throwing in things like a hitch, etc. We did get the lifetime warranty on it (as long as we have it inspected once a year.)

i believe you'll maintain your value on this special edition (or at least close to it).

Buy it ... and enjoy!

The unit on display at Bay Area Airstream is numbered one of 100 on the front plaque. They claimed to be the largest volume Eddie Bauer seller. Think I believe them to get the first one.

I've spoken to Colonial Airstream and they say they are already sold out. I wonder if dealers are really getting MSRP for these editions.

That begs the question, are they worth the $20-30K over what you could get an Eddie Bauer for...

It was easy to spend over $30K fixing the both new Classic and 23D factory defects and making improvements to all systems including tire and wheel updates

It certainly looks like a beautiful model. We'd be proud and pleased to own one. However, given the limited production it would be a nice surprise if you're able to get one at a discount. That said, it's pretty clear this model is more about burnishing Airstream's reputation than its bottom line. So, you never know until you try!

I'd buy one in a heartbeat. But I doubt I could since the production is so limited. I love the faux wood treatment on the cabinets and the counter.

I've spoken to multiple dealers and they won't play ball below MSRP. Colonial said 60 out of 100 are already sold. So apparently people are willing to pay the premium.

There are new 27FB's (which this is based off of) on lot's for $80K. So that would mean $40K extra for the following:

Electric awning
Electric Stabilizers
The hatch rear door
Dual AC
Solid surface kitchen top
The custom interior and exterior finishes

Thoughts?

Autographed baseballs sell for more than plain baseballs, in that sense perhaps someone is getting a bargain. Three American icons are brought together here, Airstream, Pendleton, and National Parks and naturally go together. There will surely be some satisfaction camping in your Airstream Pendleton at a National Park, curled up with the wool blanket on a cool evening, campfire flickering.

Hi all,
I bought the first Pendleton, although I opted for a May delivery for timing purposes. Dealt with Colonial and got about 5% off plus a couple of miscellaneous add ons. To me the real attraction was the rear hatch of the EB but without the loss of interior storage. Can't wait to see this little beauty.

I don't think this compares to the David Winnick 75th Anniversary Bambi, which sell for as much or more than their original price. They were true customs, with unique high quality finishes.

I wouldn't bet on this model appreciating.

I just watched a video of the David Winnick. Not to offend anyone that has one, but I am not impressed.
