Speaking of two story, we were getting gas in Delta. Colo., and few islands away was this large truck tractor with a plywood homemade RV built onto the chassis. It has Wisconsin plates. It barely fit under the gas island roof and had windows at different levels meaning it was either two story or had sleeping lofts. The overhang must have been a dozen or more feet—probably scraped at every driveway. The owner told me he was going to put a metal covering over it. The plywood had white primer on it. It was as large as the biggest 5th wheel you've ever seen and even high than those. I wish we had a camera with us.

When you're crawling around in the 12" high Airstream, you can think of the homemade Class C. The problem with a 12" Airstream is the appliances won't fit. You might be able to get a an Easy Bake Oven inside, but I think you have to go with the multilevel popup Airstream—the aluminum plates on the side for each level could look like scales and could be quite frightening. Imagine waking up in the morning and looking out the window and seeing aluminum scales on a multilevel RV next to you. You could have an atrium in the middle or the clerestory windows. The scales may be inspired by the Mothra movie I watched part of last night—Mothra was trying to save Japan from a big scaly green sea monster.

Oh. I thought you got that when we were making fun of you earlier

Either that or you meant 12' high, not 12"... Then you could put in a chandelier.

You're thinking about it now aren't you....crown molding, hanging chandelier, actually, I would be very impressed if you could get crown molding on the walls of an airstream

'chaos, thanks for explaining it may have been a typo and dark' may have meant 12 feet.

That changes everything!

You can glue the crown molding or use that very expensive two sided tape that was used to attach my solar panels to the roof. You can get a commercial kitchen in there and a wood stove.

The chandelier can go in the atrium, but I like a pole so the strippers have something for their act. But if you don't go with the pole, a hot tub under the chandelier sounds great (a hot tub full of strippers is a wonderful addition to any Airstream). Because of the water weight, you will need dehydrated water for traveling with the hot tub. Or you can bring some hydrogen and mix two parts to one of oxygen—get one of those oxygen concentrators you see old people with. There's hydrogen in flatulence, but don't mix it with oxygen because you could get sulphuric acid if you don't consult "RV Chemistry for Dummies".

I once built an anamatronic motion sensitive mailbox that would blurt out sayings to people walking in front of my house while flapping the door like its mouth. This would have been a welcome addition to the sayings.txt file

It depends how you define "topic".

Some of us are inclusive, embracing all thoughts in the hope one, just one, will move civilization forward. In the context of this thread's OP's Forum name, perhaps we can call it "endarkenment"

Darkspeed, Here's a link to a Westcraft that Timeless Travel Trailer lifted to increase the headroom. While not an Airstream, it has some pictures that you might find helpful.

I also need to decide how to handle the doorway

Option1 - have a stepover threshold like a sailboat - the easy way out

Option2 - cut the bottom of doorframe and door and splice 12" of material to make the door taller
