So im trying to sort out the floorplan.
I know I want a king size bed and it will be in the far rear.
My first thought was to use the space under the bed for storage and then after doing some measuring I thought there might be room for a bunk bed arrangement.
The lower bed will only be used rarely so im toying with the idea of putting the upper bed on Linear actuators so it can be lowered when the lower bed is not needed.

I like it. A lot. It's actually making me want bunk beds. Hmm.... So is it going to be used for storage at all anymore? In my dream bunk, it would still be nice to raise the lower one a tad, enough for a long drawer, then with the other bed on top directly, it would be at perfect height.
Are you using linear actuators just for the movement, with something like a locking pin assembly for the actual support, or are the actuators supporting the full person weight + bed weight?
Are both bunks going to be kings?
Also, robots don't sleep. You're still not throwing us off.

Bunk beds make me a'skeerd. Used to have dreams of having the top one fall on me (I come from a big family, lots of brothers, sisters, and cousins; big-uns, hefty).
In fact one night, something woke me up that I thought was a snake! I could hear the "hsssss..." from above. Turned out it was cuzzin Danny's nylon sleeping bag slowly sliding off the top bunk, and with him innit! Wonder what he was dreaming about while I was sorting out what the "snake" really was. He didn't have much time to sort anything out though; WHAM as he hit the floor!
I tried hard not to laugh, 'cause Dan sher was sore afterwards.
Anyways, only serious thought I have on this is that you have added some very good space to this trailer. Don't jam it full of stuff in a hurry... In other words, if you really NEED a bunkbed, go for it. If you don't, well, think hard about why you want to put one in.

Well in the lowered position there would be about 18" of storage if you put items on top of the lower bed.
I would use four 400lb Linear Actuators that lock when not energized and a manual clevis pin for safety.

O yes both will be king. The dc LA's will lift / support / lock just like the dc hitch jacks.
I prefer sleeping off the floor anyway. The beds will be sideways , side of bed facing the front of trailer. The only thong that concerns me is some girl crawling over me to use the loo in the middle of the night.

You've been working on that trailer too long if you think any "girl" (I'm sure you meant woman) wants to be on a top bunk with no easy access to the bathroom.
Listen to Aage...don't add anything you will only use rarely. Under the bed storage is priceless! Give that woman a place for her shoes!

The combination of "thong" and "some girl" in the same sentence leads to naughty thoughts. Is this a robotian fantasy about about a human of unknown name crawling around in the middle of the night? Reminds me of the Star Trek episodes with Data having a human girlfriend.

Welllll the I and the O are too close on the keyboard....
Gene's mind read "Some Thong Girl..." and went to StarTrek. There are way too many conclusions to draw there..lol... ( yes Iv seen that one too )
Besides, forcing her to climb over you a few times a night is good for the relationship...

Gene,
Cut the robot some slack on the typos, he works and posts at an un-matched speed by us human slow pokes.

Looking at the plan so far as I could read it, it seems there's more weight to the rear, especially if you have multiple beds, actuators and whatever comes to your capacious mind (CPU actually). Have your figured on centering weight over the axles?

Yes actually a tad light in the rear when counting diesel cell, generator,AC that will live on the A frame. Not shown on this drawing. Good catch though!
