How about we take 2 30 footers and end up with a 10 and a 50? One with no bathroom, one with two master suits, front and rear baths...The mind is a blurr

Too cute, but too small for my family.
Great job though. I think you probably could actually tow that with a bi-cycle. Looking forward to seeing interior photos when you're done.

Too Much Time on their Hands
The modifications look great. Makes all kinds of "wild" ideas run through my head as I look at the tree damaged Overlander in my back yard. I can hear the rivets tremble in the still of the evening...

OK I had to register under another name I lost my password to my original account Im joey73 I figured I would update on my shortened airstream I am going to cut the tongue off and extend it about 2 ft so I can put a onan 5000 watt gen on the tongue close to the front of the camper. I figured it would help with the little bit of sway I have at 45 mph. I have been camping in it once and the 15 btu rooftop ac will push the airstream to about 60 degrees all day even if it is 100 outside I installed a kitchen sink cabinets and a toilet so far I will take some pictures later.

I figured no matter where I go I will always have power I plan on going on long trips in it so it will make it nice in rest stops. I have had so many people stop by and ask me to sell it but theres noway I can sell it I put to much time in it and its a unique camper.

My father owns that one. He pulls it behind a matching 28' motorhome.

Onan 5000 generators are noisy - Seriously consider finding a used inverter style generator before you change anything.

5000 would be overkill if all you need is to power a/c. a 4000 onan/gaurdian would do the job,the 5000 is a 220vac gen ! the gaurdian is the quieter of the 2 and cost is about 700.00 less. also the 2.8 kv would be a consideration but the 4.0s give you more for about the same $. I am a dealer for both and also a warranty station. I do trust the new gaurdians as much if not more than the new onans. I have a used 5000
in the shed ( replaced it with the new 5.5) need to check it out. i did notice when pulling 5000 that is a 4.0 emerald with a different stator and a new package, i think a 4.0 stator would turn it back into an emerald. fyi

I already have the 5000 in hand and it runs good and I put a quiet muffler on it it isn't to bad on noise. I would rather deal with a little noise than be hot all summer or on trips. I live in florida and I hate the heat go figure

The generator is out of a old 76 pace arrow. I figure I would try to stay with older stuff. It seems to last longer and easy to work on and you get the same results as a new one.

My apologies to you on my wish-booking your project post!
What might be cool (yeesh doing it again) is drop-down supports that will take the weight of the generator off the frame when you are setting up for a stay; reduce and remove the vibrations transmitted into the trailer would be a job won...
