Airstream Vinyl Wraps?

Anyone ever vinyl wrap their Airstream? I'm looking to buy a Basecamp 20X and a custom design sounds fun!

I was thinking either mountains or trees. Something simple like this (Etsy keychain) that's just black and covers the bottom half so the aluminum shell can still shine.

What do you guys think? Anyone ever do it?

I think it's a natural extension of the colored stripes that Airstreamers painted on their own trailers that got Airstream to put blue and woodgrain stripes on new trailers in the Seventies and Eighties. Follow your artistic vision. It's your trailer, after all. Go for it, and see if in three or four years time Airstream doesn't pick up on the idea too.

[Edit: I should mention that my own trailer is an Excella, which has some pretty bold graphics right from the factory. Think of it as a big multi-color stripe with Reflex blue, sky blue, and gold metallic pinstriping that matches the gold and silver anodized "Excella" badge rivited to it. The stripe itself has blue plastic rub strips, and the stripe is also wrapped around the LP tank cover too. All that came about partly because bold graphics were in style in the early Seventies, but club members also used to paint stripes around their trailers to make them easier to find at rallies.]

I never knew Airstreams ever had graphics. Learn something new every day.

Hi Lost. That looks like what Wanderlocal did to their trailer. Perhaps email them if you have questions?

Oh, wow! That is very close to what I was thinking of — thanks so much!

Now I just have to decide between trees or mountains.

Or both. Here in the Pacific Northwest, we have both. Maybe add a volcano too for fun.

Have fun,

"Maybe add a volcano too for fun." Just don't get carried away and make it a functioning volcano. (Although one that could be aimed and ejected Nerf "lava" might be fun. <grin>)
