Why Moonlight Serenade?
"Moonlight Serenade" is a beautiful song by Glenn Miller. The marvelous 41st Annual Glenn Miller Festival coincides with the VACmidwest June Rally. While we won't attend the entire festival, it provides more fun weekend opportunities in nearby Clarinda, Iowa

For those of you planning on a walk-in site, please contact Shirley.

Wednesday 6/8: Those joining us tonite can enjoy a baked potato bar provided by Tom and Shirley Herron followed by Campfire

Thrusday 6/9: Start your day as early as you wish drive to Clarinda take in as little or all you decide.
8:15 Scholarship Competition - High school auditorium
Glenn Miller Birthplace Mueseum opens (hours 10-6 pm)
Vendor Fair and Town Square Shops (hours 11am - 7pm)
Nodaway Valley Mueseum opens (hours 1pm-4pm)
Dinner enjoy one of Clarinda's fine restaurants.
8 pm Shades of Blue free Concert - Town Square

Friday 6/10: Drive up to Corning
Tour Icarian French Village entry plus sack lunch $18.00 or entry only $5.00 (Shirley needs lunch count by May 27th)
Taste International Wines at the floating Vine. Vineyard tour, wine samples, and keepsake glass $5.00 (Shirley needs a head count by May 27th)
Or if wine not your cup of tea possibly dine at the Fickle Frog.
Corning also home to Johnny Carson Birthplace, and Corning Opera house. (Opera house is by appointment would like to know how many would be interested in touring)
8pm Back at Camp Grounds for those wishing to participate lets, "Let Our Streams Glo" with a lighted tour. Will be trying to get a invite out in local towns.

Saturday 6/11: Enjoy the Lake or take in some more of the music festival in Clarinda, or possibly sites in surrounding towns Bedford home to the Taylor County mueseum. Stanford home to Folgers tea cup water tower and swedish history.
6pm Be back at the lake Enjoy Catered Barbecue meal. (Need head count by june 7th)
8pm Cafe Rouge Dance - Sounds from the 40's complete with commercials and war announcements $20.00 advance tickets required. Or relax and enjoy a Campfire at the Lake.
