2005 Airstream Safari 19 - Texas

Just in time for camping season! For sale is our 19' Bambi, a dear member of our family since 2009. Lightly used we've made many happy memories in this trailer over weekend camping trips and a couple of short vacations. This trailer has been kept in covered storage.

Sleeps four people. This Airstream has a full size bed and a sofa that folds down to make a second bed. It is equipped with a dual powered refrigerator/freezer i.e. propane or shore power . Other features include air conditioning, propane heat, water heater, oven and a three burner stove. The bathroom contains a toilet and separate shower. This Bambi has one Fantastic Fan with a rain sensor.

The unit base weight is 3,725 lbs; net carrying capacity is 775 pounds; and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating is 4,500 lbs. We tow this trailer easily with a SUV.

This Bambi has been meticulously cared for and is in near original condition. In late 2020, we installed a plush mattress purchased from Airstream Supply Company along with an airflow mat slept on for 10 nights . We purchased new tires and packed the wheel bearings in August 2020. In November 2020, we had a new, powered tongue jack professionally installed.

There are a few cosmetic imperfections:
  • there are three known, small dimples in the exterior. They are difficult to see and we do not know how they came to be;
  • the vinyl floor has some discoloration;
  • the fresh water level detector does not work; and
  • some of the mouse fur on the wall behind the sofa is discolored likely due to a water leak. It was like this when we bought it and we have not experienced any leaks in this trailer. We have had the roof resealed routinely.
We are selling this trailer as we have decided to purchase a larger Airstream in anticipation of longer trips during retirement.
