This motorhome has been a fantastic and elegant unit for our family. It has just 18,000 miles on it, and is powered by a healthy 8.1 GM L18 gasoline motor, ample power and efficiency. All systems, appliances, cabinetry, water and waste tanks, generator, and lighting are fully functional. All manuals and maintenance records are included as well.
The Onan 5500 generator can be started from two locations in the interior of the coach, supplying 110VAC off shore power for all outlets. Power is provided to the rooftop air conditioners one at a time , the microwave / convection oven, refrigerator, and the 12VDC battery charger.
The cabinets are the deluxe Airstream factory upgrade; they are made of solid oak and close securely, with ease. All upholstery and cushions are clean and plush. The kitchen drawers, cabinets, pull out cupboard, and under dinette storage areas waste no space. Counter top space can be increased by covering the double sink with form fitted panels as pictured . Cooking is a pleasure on the 3 burner gas range. The propane powered water heater has digital electronic ignition, and can be started from the interior of the coach; it can also run on electricity when shore power is available. The refrigerator and freezer operate well on 110VAC or propane.
There are three skylights throughout, as well as powered roof vents, which can be set to push air in or pull air out. The kitchen area roof vent is made by the famed Fantastic Fan brand, and can be set to close automatically in the presence of rain. There are two roof top air conditioning units, one located above the living area couch, and one above the rear bed / water closet area. They can also be set to provide electric heat. A full Zip Dee awning shelters a comfortable outside area when needed.
Down the hallway from the kitchen is the shower and bathroom area. For privacy, two partitions slide out from the walls to close off the lavatory, one at the end of the kitchen and another at the front of the bedroom. This creates a large, spacious feeling inside when not in use. The shower is generously sized and contains an opaque skylight and an exhaust fan.
It is a very comfortable motorhome, whether driving, sitting, or sleeping. The queen size rear bed has access on three sides. For storage there are overhead compartments, drawers under the bed, dinette, and sofa, and two lighted closets for hanging clothing, and several keyed outdoor basement compartments.
Several lighting options are available throughout the coach, many overhead fluorescent lights and several stylish wall mounted lamps, as well as under cabinet reading lights. Aisle lights provide visibility throughout the dark hours.
