1983 Airstream 310 - Texas

Beautiful 1983 Airstream motorhome 310, excellent shape but oil pump out.

We purchase it in April 2021 in Tucson where it was sitting under a metal RV carport for 20 years. The 2nd owner our seller was a engineer and kept it and maintained it in good condition. we drove it back to Austin TX, it was very silent, no play in the steering the engine has great power, so is the transmission, it drove perfect, braking perfect as well ! Very confortable and safe to drive ! We are selling our house and moving overseas, and bought this RV to be able to stay in if we needed more time in the US before leaving ship there and stay in before we could find something. We put it in storage once we got back, we took it for a spin to go camp one weekend and we had an engine issue. I was driving, great as usual, then it started making some noise just a bit, I looked at the dash and saw that there were no more oil pressure, I was able to coast it to the next gas station that was not far. Stop it called a tow truck and it has been at a mechanic that can t work on it because his garage bay doesn t open enough !

So it looks like the oil pump is going out ! When you 1st start the engine, it will have oil pressure for a bit and then the pressure goes and the noise will start. Perfect body, no rust what so ever. Nice interior, great rear bed option with the panoramic windows, the couch turns into a kingsize bed in 20 seconds. Have lots of pics and videos, ask for them.

We are moving and don t have time to deal with it. Can t find a mechanic in town that could work on it fast enough before we could go and they can t take it because too backed up! I have too many projects, my wife says they need to go, and I agree on this one, I have health issues that keeps me from taking on any project anymore or working on the ones I have.

This is a very nice quiet, Motorhome. with some engine issue, could be a quick and easy fix or could have some damage on the engine due to that oil pump in the worst case scenario!

I m selling it at 18,000.00 even if you had to put 10k for a nice rebuilt engine 454 crate engine you would have a very nice 28000k Motorhome ready to go anywhere.

If interested, call or text me at 5I2 35O 3I89 leave a message as I usually don t answer unknown numbers too many commercial calls and I will call you right back. No tire kickers
